Who we are

Muwatin Media Network is based in the United Kingdom’s capital London founded on the sixth of June 2013. Muwatin monitors and documents societal events and is concerned with citizen issues in the Gulf and Arab world.

Muwatin is an independent media organisation unrestrained by conditions of political funding that governs the work of prevailing Arab media networks. Muwatin believes in the necessity of financial independence as a condition for editorial independence.

Muwatin represents a freedom of the press project in the Arab region. Citizenship, issues of human rights and freedoms and all that is kept silent on is the network’s editorial line and its media projects. In the approach of analytical journalism, Muwatin reads what is behind the event and travels with its audience beyond the red lines. “Muwatin… where you discover the illusion of red lines.
